  1. Bring some identification to a Western Union Agent, e.g. a passport and fill in a short simple form.
  2. Pay the amount of money you want to send plus the Western Union service fee.
  3. You will be given a Western Union reference number.
  4. Contact the person receiving the money and give them this number.

  • Access your bank website only by typing the URL in the address bar of your browser or by visiting newbank.com website and accessing the link from there
  • Do not click on any links in any e-mail message to access the site.
  • Sidian Bank or any of its representative never sends you email/SMS or calls you over phone to get your personal information, password or one time SMS password. Any such e-mail/SMS or phone call is an attempt to fraudulently withdraw money from your account through Internet Banking. Never respond to such email/SMS or phone call. Please report immediately on enquiries@sidianbank.co.ke or (+254)020-3906000/1-7) if you receive any such e-mail/SMS or Phone call. Please lock your user access immediately, if you have accidentally revealed your credentials by entering the wrong password three times
  • Do not be lured if you receive an e-mail/SMS/phone call promising reward for providing your personal information or for updating your account details in the bank site.
  • Change your Internet Banking password at periodical intervals.
  • Always check the last log-in date and time in the post login page.
  • After you have logged in, you will not be asked to provide your username and login password again. Also, you will not be asked to provide your CREDIT or DEBIT CARD details while using internet banking. If you get a message (such as through a pop-up) asking for such information, please do not provide this information no matter how 'genuine' the page appears to be. Such pop-ups are most likely the result of malware infecting your computer. Please take immediate steps to disinfect your device.
  • Avoid accessing Internet banking accounts from cyber cafes or shared PCs.
  • Before entering personal information on a website, look for the "lock" icon in your browser. A closed lock or padlock indicates that the website you are on is secure.
  • Make sure that your password is 8 or more characters and combines letters, numerals and symbols. Don't use the same password for your financial accounts as you do for other sites.
  • Never leave your computer unattended when logged in and log off as soon as you’re finished, especially on any public computer.
  • Check your statements regularly – if you notice anything strange, contact your bank immediately.
  • Stop and think about the process you normally go through to make a payment to someone – be suspicious if it differs from the last time you used it.
